Having tried the beta version of Yahoo Messenger 9.0 Beta in last November ( read it here ) , now its time for the latest beta version of 9.0 Yahoo Messenger ,though i expected a final version. A Vista only version was released some months ago, but to me it was a pure crap.

The main change in the new beta is the ease in importing your friends from various services like AOL, Google’s Gmail and Orkut, Microsoft’s Hotmail, MySpace, and other online services.It also adds a special group of all people in your Yahoo address book, helping to connect with contacts users may have stored elsewhere within Yahoo itself.A New Contact List Format Button is another addition to the Messenger 9.0 beta with two views available for a user’s contact list — detailed and compact. Also, for Vista users, voice in chat rooms has been enabled. The chat room verification process has also been changed; users can now enter the Captcha code right in the chat room window instead of having to go off to another page.

Games are a welcome addition in the new version. Games like Checkers, Pool, Toki Toki Boom, etc.are included and are available  under the new “Activities” button.
